The good part is that our "wealth" has increased 4.5 times from 2000 to 2012, despite the severe adjustment of 36% in 2011-2012 at national wealth level - without bringing into question the reality of wealth distribution disparities in Romania.
The "wealth" is calculated as the total amount of financial and real estate assets minus the total debts. The latter also increased: from an average of $ 60 per adult in 2000, the average debt has reached in mid-2012 to 2.369 USD, an increase of 40 times, according to Credit Suisse estimates.
According to revenue, not by wealth, World Bank places us in the category of those with less than 10,000 dollars in 2012 with 7.943 USD GDP per capita (not adult) in 2012, down 10% from 8.874 USD in 2011.
