The Black Sea pollution problem could be solved in a short time using artificial reefs. A large project was developed by the representatives from all the states around it. The project will be coordinated by Bulgaria, which received the European funds needed for the project.

Specialists from Romania, Georgia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Turkey met in Constanta to contribute to the project to reduce pollution in the Black Sea. Bulgaria is the one that has earned the right to make the design and build the artificial reefs.

There is one problem, though. The specialists must agree on the material to be used for building the reefs because our legislation does not allow plastic construction reefs.

The project covers a period of two years and its costs amount to 300,000 Euros.
