"We have good results, from names of politicians to officials known to have been convicted for corruption, therefore I believe that in this way we have proof that corruption eradication isn’t just a will but a fact which hinders the development of Romania", Klaus Iohannis argued.
He continued: "There is work to be done, and here I am determined to support the authorities involved in the fight against corruption. The President has certain levers by appointing the Chief Prosecutor of the DNA, by demonstrating his determination, by addressing the issue publicly and I think I’ve been doing this from the beginning of my time in the office so far, to send clear signals: the fight against corruption must continue with great intensity. "
