The new project is meant to promote "cooperation instead of competition," according to former Romanian Minister of Transport Cristian Petrescu
The tour lasts eight days, seven nights, and includes a variety of activities and attractions, according to BTA, quoting Romania mass-media.
Tourists will have the opportunity to visit monasteries built into the rock, wineries, relaxing resorts, holiday houses for rural tourism, the sunny beaches and the DanubeDelta landscapes.
The tour sets off in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova, and includes the Bulgarian Black Sea resorts Albena and Balchik, Cahul town and Old Orhei Monastery in the Republic of Moldova and the Romanian resort Eforie North.
The price will vary depending on the type of package that may enhance either the religious, cultural or the relaxation factor.
Gabriel Mărgineanu, head of Tourism Industry Employers Association of Moldova, acknowledges that the tour, which will amount to several hundred kilometres may seems tedious, but he ensures that such journeys are attractive to tourists.
However, tour operators fear that the poor infrastructure of roads in the Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria is a downfall, Novinite writes.
"I think everyone has already been in Spain, Italy and France. It's time for them to come to Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria, "the Romanian Minister of Tourism, Cristian Petrescu said.
The tour is implemented within a European Union project designed to create a strategic partnership for sustainable development of the Black Sea region by leveraging its tourism potential.
