PM Victor Ponta stated Monday that he had no fault to find with the behaviours of reshuffled ministers Ioan Rus, Victor Paul Dobre and Andrei Marga and expressed the belief that they would continue to be „important Social Liberal Union pillars in the political battle for the change of Romania.“

„I have nothing whatsoever to blame them for because all three ministers are people that I appreciate and that were extremely honest during their government activity and I think they will accomplish a lot as SLU members“, stated POnta, according to Agerpres agency.

„It was a reshuffle imposed by the fact that president Traian Basescu and the interest group around him have tried all this time, thru every means possible, to block the activity and implementing of the SLU governance agenda“, the PM also said adding that the decisions were made quickly and that the government „is working at full capacity.“

Victor Ponta confirmed that he had had a one hour meeting with interim president Crin Antonescu and talked about the reasons behind the Government reshuffle.

Ioan Rus announced his resignation from office as a minister of Interior, on Monday, motivating he is an honest and fair politician, and that in the last days he has been put under a lot o pressure by people ranging from Traian Basescu to Crin Antonescu.
