The Prime Minister stated that the recommendations had been forwaded to interim president Antonescu, and he accepted them. According to PM Ponta, the recommendations are the result of discussions with leaders of the National Liberal Party (NLP), Daniel Chiţoiu, and Conservatory Party (PC), Daniel Constantin.

Victor Ponta stated: "the current cabinet was and remains an office with limited mandate, till November. (...) The government must adapt to a situation by taking measures, not so much by changing people, but by a clear change of strategy. (...) the government should send a different kind of message, one of stability, predictability."

- "The government must adapt to the new situation, not so much by change of men but a change of strategy. The impeached president received a very clear verdict. CCR is to give a judicial verdict as well".

- "I believe that Romania has to go beyond the logic of war that it has been in  the last 8 years and the Government should give serious answers. Romanians spoke their mind when they voted and are now tired, and from this moment on  we have to start rebuilding the country".
